Welcome Mitizens!

Our Dearest Parents and Students,

It is with great pride and joy that I welcome all of you to school year 2015-2016 with the theme, “Revisiting Roots, Reinventing Fruits.”

As we near our 10th year of service as an educational institution, we are humbled by the many successes we have achieved throughout the years.  More than celebrating our milestones, we commend our students, who are the concrete realizations of our school’s overarching vision and mission, best exemplified by the phrase “smart and good.”

Rooted in this sense of pride is a deep sense of gratitude to everyone who has been part of our school’s brief history.  Truly, what MIT International School (MITIS) is today is testament to the unwavering moral commitment of our founders and former administrators, teachers, and students.

With this, we feel it is but right to revisit our roots—our shared vision and mission, set forth by those who have come before us, and the noble goal of education—the opportunity to impart positive change in the world.  It is in remembering why we started that we can move forward toward reinventing our fruits—members of a school community committed to the success of every child.

Let us begin this school year with the same level of excitement and optimism for the future that moved the spirit of those who began MITIS in 2007. They have proven that together, nothing is impossible..

Very Truly Yours,

Mae Kathryn C. Malanum

Principal
