Dear MITISzens,

 

Another year is finally upon us. With it comes numerous opportunities, and more importantly, limitless possibilities.

 

As the world continues to evolve at seemingly warp speed, we are tasked with the great responsibility of ensuring that the youth of today are ready for an uncertain future.  Circumstances change to a point that we, at times, are caught unaware of how to successfully navigate the different situations we find ourselves in. Armed with this realization, we understand how fear and doubt can possibly gnaw upon those who do not see a clear future ahead. And, though fear can sometimes be a good thing, this year, we have decided to combat it head on.

 

In our 10th year, MIT International School moves forward inspired by the theme, "MITIS: TENacious @ 10" to showcase the roaring tiger within every MITISzen.  With faith, we hold firm to the values we believe in and persist in obtaining our goal of providing learning with gentle and caring dedication. This clarion call is an invitation for each and every one of us to be courageously fierce in our commitment to focus, this year, on 3 A's--Adaptability, Academics, and Aspirations.

 

We need to learn how to not only endure but also triumph over trying times. To be adaptable means to be flexible--to excel despite the changing conditions.  As an academic institution, we will use academics as the core to enable us to be adaptable.  All such things, we wish to accomplish, inspired by your aspirations--as students, parents, and as a community. 

 

In the name of every member of the MITIS family, I thank all of you for your immense trust and faith in us.  We are "forever grateful" to MIT our school for giving us this chance, once again, to inculcate courage, faith, and love.
